If you are passionate about supporting families and promoting the best interests of children during times of conflict, the opportunity to be a Child Custody Recommending Counselor / Mediator is for you.
In this vital role, you will mediate disputes involving child custody and visitation, provide expert recommendations to the court, and work closely with parents, legal professionals, and community agencies. This position requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and clinical skills, and a commitment to child welfare and family well-being. The ideal candidate will possess at least a master's degree in psychology, social work, marriage, family and child counseling, or other behavioral science substantially related to marriage and family interpersonal relationships, and two (2) years of experience in counseling or psychotherapy, preferably in a setting related to the family conciliation court and with a diverse population to be served.
Location : Larson Justice Center in Indio, CA, supporting the Desert Region which includes Blythe, Indio and Palm Springs courthouses.
