Summary :

The Journeyman Electrician will work within a team to perform a variety of task as required to operate utility PV systems including preventative maintenance, construction of solar farm, and commissioning of solar farms. Responds to corrective maintenance cases to troubleshoot, test, and repair on an as needed basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Update the site superintendent if the PV system is not set up correctly after the end of the construction.
• Verify that applicable equipment and systems are installed according to contract documents, manufacturer recommendations and industry accepted best practices.
• DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, insulation resistance testing.
• Identify unsafe work or operating conditions and take proper action to neutralize hazards.
• Ensuring the vehicle, tooling, electronics, software, and company property issued are accounted for.
• Work as a solar farm crew member on an as needed basis with the Construction department.
• Cutting, bending, threading and running electrical conduit materials.
• Wire pulling and management experience.
• Experience running rigid conduit.
• Must be able to bend offset, 3 points, 4 points saddles, 90’s etc.
• Work with the Operations & Maintenance department on an as needed basis to ensure the PV system is receiving it normal scheduled maintenance.
