ABOUT THE POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Anchin is actively seeking a paralegal to join our general counsel's office. The ideal candidate will assist the General Counsel's Office with :
- Coordinating, managing and reviewing client background checks.
- Drafting, distributing, managing and tracking legal hold notices.
- Managing, tracking, and organizing firm's licensing requirements.
- Assisting with diligence on transactions, and summarizing, managing and organizing documents related to transactions.
- Assisting with insurance requirements, insurance renewals, and obtaining COIs for various projects and engagements.
- Reviewing and negotiating NDAs and contracts.
- Reviewing leases and other legal documents.
- Drafting demand letters.
- Assisting with internal investigations.
- Organizing and updating template contracts and engagement letters.
The ideal candidate will also assist the Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Information Officer in various tasks, including running reports and performing analyses of utilization, leverage and firm strategy.
Paralegal will perform limited legal research and non-legal research using various research tools, including the Internet, Practical Law, and ensure that files are maintained within Firm-approved protocols and the document management systems.
QUALIFICATIONS : Education :
Education :
Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) or equivalent experience is required.
Experience :
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in an accounting firm, law firm, or other professional services firm.
- Professional interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team environment, as well as independently is preferred.
- Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint with the ability to learn new software and operating systems required.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills also required.
Compensation :
Competitive annual salary in the range of $80,000 to $110,000, based on individual's experience level.
