The Hemodialysis Technician is responsible for providing assistance and support to the management team in achieving various objectives, such as maintaining quality patient care, ensuring patient satisfaction, facilitating staff development, managing business operations effectively, fostering teamwork, promoting a positive work culture, and enhancing employee satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in measuring patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Accurately and efficiently collect and record patient information
- Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Aid in patient mobility, including transferring and positioning them as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, strictly following infection control protocols
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families, offering comfort and reassurance during challenging times
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure streamlined and efficient patient care
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Preferably have education in physical sciences and / or training in laboratory techniques.
3. Preferably have a minimum of 2 years of experience in dialysis.
4. Desirable to have reprocessing experience, including equipment repair and maintenance.
5. Must have a valid PCT license in Ohio or state license / registration as required, or completion of a training course in hemodialysis theory and practice.
6. Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance if travel by car is required for company business.
7. Possess computer knowledge, which is desirable.
8. Must meet CMS requirement at 494.140(e)(4) for patient care dialysis technicians, which entails obtaining certification under a state certification program or a nationally available certification program within 18 months of employment as a dialysis patient care technician.
