Job Description

• Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery including slitting lines, cut to length lines, packaging machines, air compressors, lift rucks, overhead cranes and wrapping machines
• Troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics
• Replace and rewire 3 phase motors, AC / DC, 480V
• Perform MIG and stick welding on steel material
• Fabrication
• Use plasma and cutting torches
• VFD's and Control Logix
• Will use CMMS to perform work orders on PM's
• This job will be 70-80% mechanical

Hard Skills

• Interpret Electrical Drawings - Schematics
• Troubleshooting production machinery
• PLCs

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in East Chicago, Indiana.

Work Environment

2nd shift (2 PM - 10 PM, Monday-Thursday) Fridays (11 AM - 7 PM). Will have to work Saturdays based on projects, installs, and necessary PMs.

On average, 40-48 hours per week. Saturdays will be mandatory. The facility is renovated with newer lighting, machines, and equipment.

It is a very clean facility. The temperature is regulated but can get hot during the summer. The company promotes from within, and everyone at the facility, including the Plant Manager, started from the production floor.

It is a family-owned company where the owners still talk with everyone that works at the facility. The maintenance department consists of a Maintenance Manager, the person, and 2 Maintenance employees.
