The Director of Portfolio Management leads product ideation, selection, prioritization, portfolio analytics, and competitive market landscaping to grow Padagis pipeline and portfolio utilizing the ANDA and 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway.

Note : This position can be located in the Western, Michigan or Minneapolis-St. Paul areas and is eligible for a hybrid workplace arrangement in both of these locations.

Fully remote candidates will be considered, with preference given to candidates located in Western Michigan, Minneapolis-St.

Paul, and New York / New Jersey.

Job duties :

Ideation-Selection-Prioritization :

  • Generate and continually update a long list of potential candidates for product development or licensing / acquisition based on fit to company strategy
  • Build business case (market potential, development challenges, regulatory pathway, and patent landscape) to guide investment decisions for the ideation candidates
  • Based on target product profile, capability, and capacity, recommend for internal development, or propose fit-for-purpose external partners (with enabling platform technologies, and / or development and manufacturing capabilities) for further evaluation.
  • Refresh business cases based on developmental timelines, competitive intelligence, and investments required to prioritize resource allocation to pipeline candidates

Portfolio Analytics :

  • Ensure an appropriate number of assets are at each lifecycle stage and that assets are passing through stage gates with sufficient velocity to meet corporate strategy and multi-year growth targets
  • Develop and monitor metrics for the health of the Padagis portfolio. Communicate insights and recommended course of action to cross functional team and management to maintain health of the portfolio
  • Mine publicly available information and market intelligence to maintain an informed view of competitive landscape for Padagis assets.

Communicate insights and recommended course of action for ideation, prioritization, or partnering

Product Licensing, and Acquisition Support :

Support business case build to guide investment decisions for externally sourced product opportunities.

Required qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in science, finance, business, regulatory, clinical, pharmaceutics, or intellectual property management is required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in portfolio management function for US generics and at least 5 years experience in any discipline associated with pharmaceutical sales & marketing (pricing, analytics, product management, market access), product development, manufacturing, supply chain, regulatory affairs, clinical, medical affairs, or intellectual property management.
  • Experience with leverage of US products for ex-US markets, and 505(b)(2) products preferred
  • Conversant with product analytics tools (e.g. IQVIA, Cortellis, Biomedtracker, IPD Analytics, PriceRx).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
