Position Overview
The primary function of this position is to equip site staff with the skills to provide best-practice care. The Site Trainer is responsible for developing, implementing, overseeing BHT staff training programs and frontline onboarding training. This position prepares staff for TJC Audits and plays a major role in maintaining compliance. This position works closely with other departments to identify and solve training gaps.

Training
Develops, implement and deliver comprehensive training programs for frontline staffCollaborates with the Behavioral Health Technician Leadership to manage the Advanced Frontline Training programCollaborates with the Nutrition Manager and Culinary Manager to develop and support meal coaching initiativesPartners with other multidisciplinary teams to identify training needs and ensure alignment of training content with facility protocols and client care standardsOversees preceptor training program and train preceptors on effective mentoring techniques, coaching strategies, and evaluation methodsConducts comprehensive training sessions on Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) techniques, ensuring staff are equipped to manage crisis situations safely and effectivelyCollaborates with IT and frontline management to ensure staff training on computer systems and EHR meets organizational needsOwns all core modality training for frontline staff such as DBT, Meal Coaching / Support, Portioning, FBT, EHR Training etc.Acts as lead trainer for restraint & seclusion protocolsDocumentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of training attendance, feedback and assessment outcomes to monitor staff progress and ensure compliance with training requirements.Partners with HR to ensure staff have all required training / paperwork required by TJC within first 90 days of employmentPrepares frontline teams to manage Emergency Responses (work alongside Facilities & Quality to run drills and other simulations).Coordinates with Facilities to make certain that the milieu adheres to TJC standardsAudits meals and snacks to ensure adherence to the Emily Program's meal coaching guidelinesEvaluates success of training by auditing charts, shadowing staff and conducting mock TJCProvides reports to Executive Director and other leadership regarding training initiatives and outcomesUtilizes Accanto Learning Center (ALC) to track all provided trainingOther duties as assignedEducation Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field highly preferred and at least 3+ years experience in a similar position / related field preferred.Professional Qualifications
2 years of previous experience with behavioral healthcare, including inpatient, residential, group home, PRTF, or other acute settingsPrior experience with creating and implementing training or learning & development programsUnderstanding of Eating Disorders, preferredUnderstanding of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),Previous leadership experience strongly preferredOther Qualifications
