Medical Coder
Location : Remote
Must Haves :
- Hospitalist coding experience
- Infusions coding exp
- Inpatient and outpatient / office visit billing and coding experience
- Know how to read a MAR (medication administration records)
- Active professional coding certification CPC, CCS, RHIT, etc
- Epic experience*
Plusses :
- Coding denials experience backend coding
- Rheumatology coding experience highly preferred - CRHC Certified Rheumatology Coder
D2D :
- Working within EPIC
- Rheumatology group : 7 providers, 30-60 accounts / day
- Current expectation is 6-7 charts / hour
- Responsible for translating details from a patient's medical documents into medical codes to ensure the patient's records are accurate.
These documents may include physician's notes, lab reports, procedures, diagnoses, or equipment.
- Will be a part of a specialties coding group : Rheumatology, Neuro, Behavioral Health, etc.
