Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher (SPED) for a full-time, school-based contract role in Morton, PA.
We are actively interviewing candidates who are passionate about supporting students with special needs and are eager to collaborate with families and school staff to foster student success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Adapt general education curricula to suit the academic and social-emotional needs of students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and parents to ensure a coordinated and supportive educational approach.
- Use assessments and data to monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to instructional methods.
- Provide classroom management and behavioral support, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations related to special education.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school-based team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.
Qualifications :
- Must meet all local and state requirements for Special Education certification.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
