This position in the Midwest will search and build new emulsion product OEM sales through innovative ideas; maintain correspondence and customer contact, and continually develop new contacts within the accounts assigned.
Responsibilities :
- Project and achieve monthly / annual sales objectives / goals for territory and specific customers.
- Maintain and develop existing relationships at accounts while identifying and building new ones.
- Attend industry trade shows and seminars.
- Search for new business and new business potentials; nurture leads in the territory to develop sales to new prospects.
- Understand, manage, relay, and provide solutions to problems identified by assigned customers.
- Understand product applications and uses.
- Collaborate with technical staff, purchasing, supply chain, and leaders at new and assigned accounts.
Skills / Qualifications :
- B.A. / B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred
- 5+ years experience in specialty chemical sales, with a preference for experience in water-based formulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
