Overview

Freelance Certified ASL interpreter needed – Dance setting. Pay rate : Negotiable. I am seeking a certified freelance ASL interpreter to provide interpreting support during private ballroom dance lessons (Monday and Tuesday evenings 5 : 30pm - 7pm) and small competitions in Laguna Hills, CA.

Details :

  • Freelance, paid per session or event.
  • Private lessons are twice a week, about 90 minutes each on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
  • Support communication during lessons and competitions.
  • Interview includes a video call to see how well you understand my speech (I like to say I have a little "accent" of my own).
  • Looking for someone with an uplifting personality who enjoys music and dance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide interpreting support during private dance lessons and small competitions.
  • Interpret communication between participants and instructors to facilitate understanding during lessons and events.

    • Qualifications

  • Certified ASL interpreter (RID or equivalent).
  • Ability to work in a dance / music setting with an uplifting personality.
