Nursing Educator (RN) at Atlantic Health System

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Part Time Nurse Educator for the Nursing Education department at Overlook Medical Center.

Responsible for assisting with the professional role development of members of the Nursing Department as well as the implementation of programs to improve the quality of care delivered.

Responsibilities :

Determine learning needs of nursing team members and nursing students

Onboard and support graduate and undergraduate nursing students

Foster relationships with the AHS Clinical Affiliation partners

Develop and support multiple Dedicated Education Units

Facilitate the Summer Nurse Extern and Intern Program

Oversee the OMC Scholarship Program

Provide ongoing staff development / continuing education

Develop educational curriculum

Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served.

Through the model of Shared Governance, collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity and Excellence) in every aspect of their job.

Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written

Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems (Microsoft Suite)

Ability to operate as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Education : BSN Required

BSN Required

MSN Preferred or enrolled in MSN program

Experience :

2 or more years of acute care nursing experience

2 or more years of nursing education experience preferred

License / Certification :

Valid New Jersey Nursing License

BLS required

ACLS preferred

Specialty Certification Preferred, NPD Certification within 2 years
