Role Overview :

The Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco is recruiting an MD or PhD scientist with a strong interest in immuno-oncology of pediatric cancers.

The position comes with an endowed Professorship. Appointment will be made at the Associate or Full Professor rank in the Clinical X or In Residence faculty series.

Academic rank is commensurate with experience.

The selected candidate will become part of a leading academic medical center and a well-established training program. The role will significantly contribute to our tripartite mission of fostering excellence in research, education, and patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Engage in groundbreaking research and obtain federal funding.
• Advance the field of pediatric cancer immunology, whether basic or translational.
• Collaborate with UCSF’s dynamic immunology and oncology communities.

Areas of Research Interest :

• Cell-based therapies (e.g., CART)
• RNA vaccines
• Antibody Drug Conjugates

Minimum Qualifications :

• MD, PhD, or MD / PhD
• Demonstrated track record in publishing and securing peer-reviewed external funding
• Eligibility for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank
• Commitment to workplace diversity
• Collaborative spirit

Preferred Qualifications :

• Proven strength in teaching
• Current or prospective recipient of federal or equivalent funding as a Principal Investigator
• Robust communication skills across diverse forums

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See . The minimum base salary range for this position is $156,700-$333,700.
