Job Title : Certified Medical Assistant - Physician Services
Location : North Bergen, NJ 07047
Hours : 40 hours / week
Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for providing clinical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner, while also performing essential clerical duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms, ensuring availability of necessary supplies.
- Assist patients in preparing for physician visits and examinations.
- Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient charts.
- Conduct EKGs, pulmonary function tests (PFT), audiometry, urine drug screens (UDS), and phlebotomy as required.
- Support billing procedures and maintain patient records.
- Utilize computer software for efficient office management.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and adapt care delivery to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computerized processes and data entry.
Education
- Required : High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Preferred : Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

- Required : AHA BLS (Basic Life Support).
