Responsibilities :
Assist in the removal of soiled instruments and equipment from the OR, ensuring proper disposal or sterilization.
Clean and restock the operating room, including instruments, supplies, and linens, for the next surgical case.
Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including instrument counts and patient information.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Education :
Completion of a surgical technologist program or equivalent education and training.
Experience :
Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment.
Understanding of sterile techniques, infection control, and aseptic practices.
License / Certification :
Certification as a surgical technologist (Certified Surgical Technologist, CST) is often required or preferred.
