NSG, Inc. is seeking a dependable Lead Security Guard for a facility located in Independence, KY to maintain a safe and secure environment for our client while providing strong on-site leadership to our security team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator who can interact confidently with clients, support daily operations, and act as the link between field staff and NSG's Security Operations Team.

NSG, Inc. is a trusted, family-owned commercial services provider specializing in janitorial, security, and facility maintenance services throughout the Greater Cincinnati area since 1988. We pride ourselves on creating safe, clean, and well-managed environments for our clients.

Days & Hours :

Monday through Friday from 9 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m. (however must be flexible with schedule and available for occasisional overtime)

Compensation :

  • $18-19 per hour
  • Weekly pay every Friday
  • Benefits are available after 90-days of employment

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the on-site expert and trainer for all Security Guard positions.
  • Conduct daily audits and ensure the accuracy of logistics and reporting systems.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with clients to review audits and system performance.
  • Assist with onboarding by acquiring logins and coordinating access for new hires.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to cover open shifts as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and Operations Managers, providing timely updates and feedback.
  • Conduct scheduled walking rounds, monitor entrances / exits, and inspect property.
  • Respond to emergencies and communicate incidents promptly to NSG leadership and local authorities.
  • De-escalate situations using verbal techniques and sound judgment.
  • Report suspicious activity and enforce property rules and safety procedures.
  • Escort trespassers or discharged staff from premises as needed.
  • Provide a visible, professional security presence to deter threats.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications :

  • Excellent observation and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Calm under pressure with sound judgment in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to quickly learn property layouts and operational procedures.
  • Experience using radios, telephones, and other communication tools.
  • Professional and courteous interaction with clients and the public.

    • Education : High school diploma or GED required.

    License / Certifications :

  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transporation.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

    • Physical Requirements & Working Conditions :

  • Ability to work assigned or vacant shifts as needed.
  • Prolonged standing, walking, and outdoor patrol duties.
  • Ability to move quickly to respond to incidents.
  • Independent transportation required (no assigned parking).
