Job Description
Assisting the Director of Plant Operations in supervising and managing daily activities of Housekeeping, Laundry, and Maintenance departments, including scheduling, training, and monitoring of all assigned staff in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Assisting monitoring housekeeping / laundry and maintenance program to ensure the building is maintained in a safe, clean and operationally effective condition.
Assure department staff operates in compliance with Sunnyside policies and procedures of the department and in line with the County, State, Federal guidelines and the California State Department of Health code.
Develop purchase requisitions against the supply / storeroom budget for all items used by both Housekeeping / Laundry and Laundry departments
Manage, organize and maintain an inventory of all linens for use on Nursing Units in keeping with facility requirements and Department of Health regulations
Provide leadership and management of the Maintenance, Housekeeping / Laundry Department in the absence of the Director of Plan Operations.
Assist in hiring, training and evaluating direct reports
Ensure facility inspections are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Plant Operations
Requirements
Experience
Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or lead experience in maintenance / housekeeping in skilled nursing / hospital environmental required.
Knowledge of skilled nursing / hospital infection prevention, sanitation protocols and cleaning methods.
Education
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
