The Operations Project Manager II role is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects / initiatives and provides a single point of contact for those projects. The Ops PM II provides subject matter expertise based on established project management techniques and has experience specific to the business units supported, with the ability to represent the business leaders and processes during project meetings. The Ops PM II will be successful at driving project deliverables and outcomes with limited supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop or support development of strategic business case and / or project scope document
  • Identify resources needed to deliver a project on time, in scope, and on budget; socialize and get buy-in from leadership
  • Develop Readiness Project Plan with delivery and readiness resources; maintain decision log; provide status and socialize issues / risks with stakeholders & business owners
  • Manage RAID log - driving resolution of questions / issues / risks
  • Ensure appropriate use of time - scheduling meetings with the right people, produce agendas, ensure notes are captured and communicated timely, and assign follow-ups and ensure follow-ups are closed
  • Drive project closure, lessons learned, and refining PMO standards and processes as a result
  • Maintain master inventory of assigned projects with status, providing updates to stakeholders & business owners
  • Escalate project risks / issues that may have impact beyond current project (i.e., impacts other Operations Program portfolio projects) and drive mitigation or acceptance of risks
  • Follow Operations project management standards and use defined templates to achieve consistent constituent experience for Ops PMO customer

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 3 years of work experience beyond degree
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Healthcare Industry
  • Experience with Smartsheet
  • SPC (SAFe Program Consultant) Certification
  • Project Management Professional Certification
  • Lean / Six Sigma Belt Certification
  • This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations : Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI.

    The full salary grade for this position is $77,100 - $132,200. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $77,100 - $115,710. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and / or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
