About Houston

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups.

The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors. What role you will play in our team

We are looking for dedicated, responsible individuals who are capable of operating a combination of pipeline systems and storage terminals from a console in a high stress environment.

Individuals must be able to recognize and resolve abnormal operating conditions within a timely manner and possess the ability to remain alert and composed during emergency conditions.

What you will do

  • Accurately monitor pressure, flow, gravity, tank levels, and other operating parameters
  • Control and monitor valve and pump status from the Operations Control Center
  • Flawlessly control and monitor product and / or crude batch changes
  • Understand and execute shipping schedules
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers (e.g., the public, emergency responders, inspectors, and regulators)
  • Maintain safe operations and product quality
  • Analyze and understand data and trends
  • Maintain compliance with Control Room Management Regulations

About you

Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent, safe work ethic while remotely operating pipelines and terminals from a computerized console
  • Ability to plan daily work activities in accordance with established Company and Regulatory procedures
  • Ability to work effectively both alone and with others
  • Ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) effectively
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts; will be expected to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary and respond to call-outs
  • Ability to perform relief work when requested
  • Must be willing and able to attend / complete required training courses

  • B.S. or equivalent work experience
