General Role description : (Strategy Consultant / Control Framework Lead)
Seeking a Governance Risk and Compliance resource for monitoring and protection of the Wells Fargo’s Data Resiliency Project, for proactive, passive and replicated Data Corruption Monitoring.
Offering risk management and compliance guidance and best practices to envelope data corruption guidance to LOB’s applications.
Supporting ongoing risk management and compliance initiatives, focused on improving preparedness and prevention of large scale data corruption incidents.
This group is responsible for maturing data resiliency across Wells Fargo’s technology by delivering encompassment data corruption automation tool capabilities.
The candidate will be part of the core team, partnering with key stakeholders, defining solutions and delivery management, architecting application / tool POC’s to completion, and alignment with Wells Fargo’s policies and procedures pertaining to risk assessment and mitigation.
- Provide strategic vision for data corruption governance and get agreement from leadership and stakeholders on model of engagement.
- Analyst skillset to transform functional requirements into written requirements and design
- Collaborate with technology teams : including application owners, technology infrastructure, engineering, architecture, and identify accountable product owners within respective teams to own delivery and definition of target state requirements
- Contribute to enterprise technology groups, working on enhancing policies and procedures, along with data corruption mitigation and assessment management
- Addressing data corruption at various levels within the organization; partnering with multiple LOB’s and applications by communicating program requirements, risks / issues, and ensuring milestones are tracking to completion
- Participate in multi-group data corruption discussions focused on the constraints of data and the playbooks surrounding development and deployment
- Strong attention to detail and execution management to ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and coordination
- Defining controls and implementing with the GRC system (Archer) and testing tools implementation for control effectiveness.
Define measurements around controls. Provide guidance to the application teams on implementation of the controls and their automation
- Define Processes both manual and automation for control testing, reporting, escalation of issues, and defects
- Maintaining a results-driven attitude and commitment to quality work
- Write learning materials for governance model for training purposes
- Project management and analysis skills in an agile environment

Working for one of the largest banks that is seeing significant growth currently. A whole change in leadership and a change to build out a new group.
Opportunity to work with very talented individuals. Top talent has potential to convert full time, but otherwise the contracts are slated for 2 years of work so still long term with great experience gained to take to market.
Work Environment
Remote till covid lifted then onsite in Chandler, Des Moines, Dallas, Minneapolis, Winston, and a few other locations.
Example of day to day task : Data corruption team will coordinate with engineering, architecture, monitoring, and application teams.
Team would define standards, plan for which applications to target for changes, coordinate with stakeholders to align on the plan, partner with stakeholders as they deliver the plan.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Additional Experience and Requirements for the Role :
- With analysis, design and definition of controls standards or processes
- With data management / monitoring, partnerships with data resiliency, and vendor engagements
- Working around new initiatives and developing scope, use cases and test cases
- With proposing process changes to improve data reliability and integrity
- Understanding of an agile / scrum framework delivery methodology preferred (not required)
- Technology experience, particularly in data resiliency / corruption, management and lineage, and BRDR / TRDR
- Process definition and policy writing for governance model definition
- Build out of test scripts manual and in automation
- Have you used any monitoring tools in your work experience? (E.g. App Dynamics, New Relic, Data Dog, Big Panda, Tripwire)
