To be strong fit for the role of Cook, you must be at least 18 years old and have :
- A minimum of one year of experience working as a line cook
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and training
- Strong understanding of food handling and safety
- Knowledge of equipment hazards present in kitchens (i.e. wet floors, hot temperatures of equipment and water, and sharp objects) and a commitment to safety
- Shift flexibility to occasionally work overtime and cover vacations, absences and special events, and a willingness to work weekends and holidays
- First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain certification
- The ability to pass a Drug Test and Criminal Records Clearance
