OB Surgical Technician at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance, CA. Positions available is part-time and will work 12-hour Day shifts.
Our fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit (21 LDRP rooms) has the privilege of welcoming more than 2,600 babies into the world each year.
We are a Magnet Designated hospital and are known in the South Bay as a high-risk obstetric service, attracting moms and babies with complicated medical conditions.
Opportunities for our RNs range from working with the laboring patient, circulating in the OR, PACU services and high-risk postpartum and OB triage patients seen for emergent conditions.
The Obstetrical Surgical Technician is a non-licensed health care employee or Licensed Vocational Nurse with additional surgical training, who performs delegated and routine patient care and tasks and duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
The Obstetrical Surgical Technician provides care to all patients in the following age groups : Premature, Infant, Adolescent, Young Adult and Middle Adult, by assisting the surgical team during complex operative procedures.

Required Qualifications :
- Completion of Operating Room Surgical Technician Training Program or equivalent educ / experience
- Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications :
- Upon hire : Certification in Surgical Technology
- 2 years experience in Operating Room or related experience (Surgicenter, Obstetrical Unit)
