Echo and Vascular Tech for Biltmore Cardiology Central

General Summary : Utilize high frequency sound waves to produce vascular ultrasound images and related data used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis and perform the following duties.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

• Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
• Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
• Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct;
• adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his / her specific job functions / responsibilities;

and reporting compliance issues / concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Set up equipment when necessary and prepare patient for examination.
• Select the proper transducer, both type and frequency for examination.
• Obtain, review and retrieve pertinent patient history, physical exam and supporting clinical data to facilitate the physician in making the diagnosis.
• Perform diagnostic procedures by producing, assessing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data used by physicians in rendering a diagnosis in accordance with organization and / or site protocols.
• Provided interpreting physician with an oral or written summary of technical findings at the discretion of the interpreting physician.
• Complete paperwork necessary for appropriate billing in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist with proper coding of exams for correct diagnosis.
• Ensure patient safety by following company procedures and protocol.
• Maintain and clean equipment as directed by suggested manufacturer guidelines. Report any equipment difficulties or failures as soon as possible.
• Frequently move equipment / machine for testing purposes.
• Maintain supplies for testing sites or keep appropriate materials as personal stock if in a mobile setting.
• Thoroughly complete all paperwork (. technical log sheets, billing requisitions). Obtain proper exam order with corresponding diagnosis as well as obtain patient's signature for authorization for performing the test.
• Assist with other clinical functions as directed

Education : AA Degree required

Experience : 1 year clinical setting

Certifications : ARDMS, BLS, and RVT; OR Registry Eligible with registration required within 12 months; ICVAL preferred

LI-KK1

Coordinates and assists in all activities performed in the vascular laboratory. Ensures delivery of quality vascular ultrasound studies, and acts as an educational resource.

Performs checks on equipment daily. Performs vascular examinations. Notifies physician immediately when clinical symptoms and test results reveal a positive outcome.

Education :

Required : Associate degree.

Experience :

Required : 1 year experience in a clinical setting.

Certifications :

Required : ARDMS, AHA BLS and RVT; or registry-eligible with registration required within 12 months.

Preferred : ICVAL.
