Your Work Matters How will you make a difference?
The Director of Performance Improvement (PI) / Risk Management is assigned to the performance improvement program to assist the leadership, medical staff and facility in designing, planning, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive and integrated PI and Risk Management programs.
- Supervises and supports daily performance improvement activities and assures that action is taken as needed and authorized by organizational policies and procedures.
- Receives and reviews department / service performance measures and documentation to evaluate performance improvement activities and coordinating reports of findings to the PI and Risk Management Committees, Medical Executive Committee, and the Board.
- Maintains records of performance improvement measures and statistical tools used to describe studies performed or their methodology.
- Advises and assists all departments / services and committees accountable for performance improvement activities.
- Maintains a record of all completed reviews, evaluations and process improvement team activities.
- Reviews all incident reports, patient / physician surveys, and patient complaints to determine the presence or absence of patterns and / or trends or opportunities for improvement in patient care outcomes and the appropriateness of corrective action.
- Attends and participates in appropriate committee and department / service meetings in which performance improvement, risk management, and / or compliance activities occur.
- Responsible for assuring compliance with, and factual interpretations of, all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations including, but not limited to CMS, Joint Commission, and Department of Mental Health, as well as conducting survey readiness activities and functioning as a survey coordinator during surveys.
Your Experience Matters What we are looking for :
Education : A bachelor's degree or equivalent in nursing or a health-related field is preferred.
Experience : 2+ years experience in a healthcare or behavioral health setting involving quality improvement preferred.
Additional Requirements : Licensed to practice nursing or mental health-related fields in Georgia is preferred. Computer skills involving knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and business writing.
CPR / First Aid and CPI trained and certified.

Compensation :
This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range is between $92,000.00 and $100,000.00. We are eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be given to experience and skill level.
