About the Client* : *Our client is a respected financial services industry association that provides expertise and risk management tools to commercial and retail financial institutions.
The primary focus of the Risk Product Account Executive is to understand the needs and priorities of key stakeholders overseeing the risk management function within financial services companies (banks, credit unions, GSEs, and fintech solution providers) and connect those needs with the associations services.
Reporting to the Head of Membership, this role will contribute to the organizations goal of doubling the business lines revenue within the next two years.
Job Responsibilities : Meet and exceed sales targets for new and existing clients in North America. Understand prospective client needs, industry best practices, and regulatory expectations to translate those needs into business opportunities.
Manage the full sales process : prospecting, qualification, nurturing, closing, and retention. Research and identify key decision-makers at prospective clients through networking and publicly available information (LinkedIn, quarterly reports, etc.
Build a pipeline of opportunities through network contacts, trade organizations, and the associations contact list of over 1,000 risk management professionals.
Initiate and conduct sales calls, discovery discussions, and follow-up meetings to generate new opportunities. Lead and coordinate proposal responses, developing proposal strategies and key differentiators.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, events, content, relationship managers) to define and execute account attraction and retention strategies.
Regularly use the CRM (Salesforce) to track conversations, leads, and opportunities, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
Ensure client satisfaction with the associations risk products and provide feedback to product owners. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications :
5+ years of complex B2B sales experience into large banks, with a proven ability to exceed sales targets. Strong experience selling to financial services firms, i.
e., banks, credit unions, etc. with $10 to $100 billion in total assets. A plus : Knowledge of risk management products, especially Model Validation tools and experience selling to key stakeholders in the risk management function, including C-suite executives like Chief Risk Officers, Chief Credit Officers, and Chief Financial Officers Strong communication and presentation skills (virtual / in-person), with attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
Excellent organizational and negotiation skills, with strong executive presence and business acumen. Bachelor's degree required.
Ability to work in a virtual environment; travel may be required but is expected to be no more than 10-20%.
