Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1700-$1820 / week Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) contract Healthcare Setting : Ambulatory Surgery Center (West Ashley Pavilion) Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Schedule : 4x10-hour day shifts per week (06 : 30am – 5 : 00pm); occasional late stay required Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week (facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks) No on-call required Patient Population : Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License (must be active prior to start) Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred) Radiation badge (provided by employer) Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center Clinical experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics (total joints, arthroscopy), ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Robotics, and related specialties Epic EMR charting experience preferred Ability to float within perioperative facility as needed Strong IV skills, medication administration, and patient assessment abilities RN with scrub ability is a plus, but not required First-time travel nurses not accepted OR RN Responsibilities Prepare surgical patients by reviewing medical history, performing medication reconciliation, obtaining vital signs, EKGs, starting IVs, and administering fluids / medications Assist in a wide range of surgical procedures, with emphasis on orthopedic cases (total joints, arthroscopy, hand, shoulder, elbow, foot, ankle, and limited spine) Monitor and recover post-anesthesia patients, ensuring safe transition through all phases of post-anesthesia care Provide comprehensive discharge instructions and facilitate safe patient discharge Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care Operate advanced OR equipment including Skytron beds, Stryker power tools, Arthrex arthroscopy systems, and more Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols Take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding travel nursing job in Charleston, SC.
