Job Title : Structural Engineer
Primary Responsibilities
Calculations :
- Perform gravity and lateral calculations for concrete building elements, including :
- Post tensioned slab design.
- Mild reinforced slab design.
- Concrete column design.
- Lateral analysis and shear wall or moment frame design.
- Calculations for miscellaneous minor steel framing such as canopies or elevator support framing.
- Concrete tilt panel wall reinforcing.
Drawings :
- Redline drawings to coordinate with calculations.
- Draw details for specific project conditions.
- The ability to use or willingness to learn to use REVIT for 3D modeling is a plus.
- Project Management and Construction Administration :
- Participate in coordination meetings with the project team.
- Review and respond to RFIs.
- Review shop drawings.
- Provide project site visits when required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural concentration preferred)
- AutoCAD, BIM, and Bluebeam experience desired but not required.
- Detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
- Desire and willingness to learn.
