Collections Specialist Overland Park, KS

LHH is partnering with a client in the Overland Park, KS area who is seeking a Collections Specialist. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Specialist to join our finance team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities :

• Contact customers to collect outstanding payments via phone, email, and mail.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all collection activities.
• Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments.
• Prepare and send out invoices and account statements.
• Collaborate with the finance team to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to clients regarding their accounts.
• Generate reports on collection activities and account status.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of billing and collection processes.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Details :

• Job Title : Collections Specialist
• Location : Overland Park, KS
• Schedule : Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)
• Compensation : $24.00-29.00ph.
• Job Type : Contract to Hire
• Benefits : PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K, Health, Dental, Vision, STD / LTD

Pay Details : $24.00 to $29.00 per hour
