Position Title : Intern, Construction & Project Management

Reports To : Head of Construction Management

Location : Austin, TX

Position Summary

The Company is seeking a PAID intern to support EPC (Engineering, Procurement, & Construction) efforts on the Construction Management team.

This position will be specifically supporting construction efforts across a pipeline of projects targeting wholesale power markets in North America.

The internship will cover the Summer term and is flexible with start / end dates; including opportunity to extend on a part-time basis into the fall semester / quarter! This internship is an opportunity to join an industry-leading team to help drive management decision making and grow the business.

Responsibilities

• Internal Meetings by taking meeting minutes and distributing the minutes to internal and external parties as needed.
• Sub-contractor RFIs and Submittals
• directly with the design team and coordinating submittal package submission internally and externally.
• progress of construction projects and ensure conformance to contract and help the Project Manager in preparing the PM reports with respect to cost, schedule, risk, logistics, performance, etc.
• in document management from EPCs.
• the PM / CM with their list of duties.
• the documents in E-Builder per the project requirements and be on top of the document structure as needed.
• with the Owners Engineer on the requirements as needed and provide the support to the entire project team.
• on collecting documents for the Independent Engineer along with manuals, instructions, safety docs.

Knowledge & Skills

• interest in a career in renewable energy & either construction, project management, or asset development.
• in MS Excel, Project, Word, & PowerPoint
• with Primavera P6 v7,or Microsoft Project a plus.
• quantitative aptitude with an extremely high level of attention to detail and a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work product.
• personal organizational skills.
• resourceful and comfortable working in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment.

Experience & Education

• of at least 2 years of coursework working toward a Bachelor’s degree or any amount of coursework experience working towards a Graduate or MBA degree.
• a degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related field is desired.
