Job Title : General Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physical individual to join our team as a General Laborer. The job is sorting through hazardous waste to help the environment, this can include a variety of waste materials.

The role involves lifting and carrying weights up to 50 pounds throughout the workday, standing and walking over uneven surfaces for extended periods, and reading labels and documentation.

The selected candidate should be able to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms, and work outdoors in all weather conditions as well as indoors in non-climate-controlled environments.

The successful applicant must be willing to wear company-issued personal protection equipment, including safety glasses, hard hats, steel-toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirators.

Please note that wearing a respirator requires the absence of facial hair. Flexibility to occasionally work nights, weekends, and variable schedules is essential.

The candidate will initially train on the first shift for at least 2 months before transitioning to the second shift.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a facility that is warm during the winter and not climate-controlled during the summer. All personal protection equipment is provided except for steel-toed shoes.

Uniforms are provided and are to be kept in lockers for changing upon arrival and departure. Employees are given two 15 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch.
