Senior Quality Engineer
Job Description
The Quality Engineer will provide experienced quality support to the customer service teams, quality engineers, quality assurance and the business management system.
Quality engineer is responsible for the generation of a strategic plan to improve the business processes and increase production output.
Duties include creating the company's quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability and performance.
Quality engineer are also responsible for the creation of documentation that reports issues and errors relating to the production process with efforts placed to find a solution.
Duties / Responsibilities
Reviews design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and ensure compliance.
Ensures that products meet the organization’s and customers’ quality and product integrity requirements.
Supports the customer service team by providing analysis / monitoring and expertise throughout the organizational processes
Identifies root causes of problems in the BMS process; recommends and / or implements corrective measures.
Analyzes data to identify trends in product quality / delivery or defects with a goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects.
Ensures manufacturing processes comply with federal, state, local, and industry standards and regulations.
Evaluates customer requirements and contractual obligations as it pertains to the BMS and related processes of the organization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Develop and establish quality assurance measures for new applications, products, and / or enhancements to existing processes throughout their development / product lifecycles.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers in assessing applications and / or systems under consideration for purchase.
Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under development or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for and corresponding documentation.
Communicate BMS system issues and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.
Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
Complies and conducts business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Promotes ethical behavior by acting with honesty and integrity

Required Skills / Abilities
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn processes.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
Thorough understanding of federal, state, local, and industry standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Strong ability to multi-task efficiently.
Successfully prioritize and mange tasks in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
At least five years of related experience required; supervisory experience is a plus.
