Qualifications :
- A?minimum of 3 years of experience in the school setting as an ASHA Certified SLP
- Maintains appropriate state license and ASHA CCC-SLP throughout the entire CF experience
- Completes?at least two hours of professional development?in the area of supervision after being awarded the CCC-SLP?(SSG can provide if needed)
Duties / Job Responsibilities?include :
- Provide?CF Supervision for CF-SLPs?per ASHA?guidelines
- Minimum 6 hours of on-site and in-person direct supervision and 6 hours of indirect supervision activities will occur during each third of the CF experience
- Provide CF with the mentorship needed to?become?an independent?practitioner?of SLP services.
- Improve the clinical effectiveness of the Clinical Fellow through meaningful mentoring and?feedback and?assist the Clinical Fellow in developing independent clinical skills.
- Complete all records and feedback / ratings within a timely manner. See?2020 Standard VII
- Provide opportunities to view and accurately rate all skills listed in the 2020 CFSI? PDF
- Provide the minimum required on-site and in-person supervisory activities per segment in order for the hours and weeks earned during that segment to count.
- Adhere to professional & ethical best practices
Compensation : The CF Mentor will receive a monthly stipend provided for each CF SLP that is being supervised.
