Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing (OEHN) Program

This clinical faculty position's major responsibilities include : teaching occupational health nursing and adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner (AGPCNP) clinically-focused courses, evaluating student performance in interprofessional practice-based learning experiences, precepting students in a faculty practice setting, recruiting and retaining a talented and diverse OEHN student cohort, advancing the OEHN role and patient care through scholarly activities, participating in School of Nursing and the University committees, the Northern California Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH), and in professional organizations for advocating for healthy and safe work environments and the prevention and management of work-related health conditions and / or OEHN program / role matters.

Required Qualifications :

  • California R.N. and NP furnishing licensure.
  • U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency controlled substance registration.
  • Doctoral degree in nursing or related fields (ex, public health) or currently enrolled in doctoral program in nursing or related fields and have the doctoral degree completed by 2026.
  • National nurse practitioner certification - Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
  • Professional experience of at least one year as an AGNP, ANP or FNP with experience working in occupational health and / or primary care settings.

Desired Qualifications :

  • National certification in occupational health nursing.
  • Formal coursework in occupational / environmental health nursing.
  • Nurse Practitioner student / resident teaching experience of at least 1 year.

For positions that are 51% effort or more :

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5 . The minimum base salary range for this position is $95,200 - $320,100.

This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

For positions that are 50% effort or less :

See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $86,500 - $228,600.
