Managing Director - Newark NJ Section 8 Multifamily Contract Administration Services $80-90k To be considered, candidates must have prior work history managing / supervising a Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program in a Public Housing Authority.
Responsible primarily for the following : Day to day management of a subsidiary team providing Section 8 Multifamily Contract Administration Services Client & HUD interactions Resident concern involvement Coordinating with Vendor on Voucher tasks RESPONSIBILITIES : Supervises the execution of HUD Contract Administration requirements for Section 8 properties.
Evaluates and interprets HUD regulations and guidelines as they pertain to the HUD Contract Administration requirement for Section 8.
Ensures high quality customer service. Ensures that staff are appropriately trained and equipped to perform their assigned responsibilities.
Manages and approves all performance reports for the program and ensures that contract reporting requirements are met. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES : Skilled in sustaining a collaborative, teamwork style of management.
Ability to interpret and implement complex and changing federal policies and regulations. Strong commitment and ability to assist in the professional development and training of staff.
Ability to effectively communicate within the organization and externally. Ability to understand, interpret, apply and explain federal and agency policies, regulations, and procedures as required.
Skilled in managing multiple / competing priorities. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree required. Significant work experience related to the position may replace all or some of the educational requirement.
Experience managing multi-family housing in either the private or public sector of the affordable housing industry preferred.
Broad understanding of HUD Uniform Physical Standards and Occupancy requirements, policies and procedures preferred. Evidence of training in Section 8 and / or housing related certifications (CPM / AHM, etc.
preferred. Experience with management reviews, Section 8 rent adjustments and contract renewals very desirable. Excellent management, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, and analytical thinking skills required. #M1
