SLP / SLPA Speech Language Pathologist School Based Role (Full Time / Part Time)- Pleasant Hill, CA Area
Key Responsibilities :
For SLP :
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and oversee individualized therapy plans tailored to each students needs
- Provide direct therapy to students, focusing on improving their speech and language skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations and guidance on student goals
For SLPA :
- Implement therapy sessions as directed by the SLP, focusing on specific communication goals
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, following established therapy plans
- Document and report on student progress, keeping the SLP informed of developments
- Assist in the preparation and adaptation of therapy materials to meet the needs of individual students
- Collaborate with the SLP, educators, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
Qualifications :
- For SLP : Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- For SLPA : Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Experience in a school setting is preferred for both roles
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Committed to helping students achieve their full communication potential
