Job Details

As a smaller GC, we’re excited to make our mark in the industry, and we’re seeking a HUNGRY Estimator who shares our passion for quality and precision.

The candidate will manage the estimating responsibilities for ground-up and renovation projects throughout Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. This role is responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project preconstruction phase to achieve the cost objectives for contracting, scheduling, estimating, and bidding. This role will ensure that the Company estimates are accurate, complete, and reflect the actual requirements of the project. This includes assuring that an adequate number of qualified and financially sound subcontractor proposals are received and evaluated through our prequalification process. The Estimator prepares detailed estimates (conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction and analyzes cost models during the Design Development and / or bidding period.

• Highly qualified candidates should expect to be promoted to Preconstruction Manager within 2 years

Skills and Qualifications

o Three (3) to five (5) years of construction estimating experience, ground-up, and renovations.

o Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a similar field.

o Basic understanding of accounting and project management concepts.

o Excellent knowledge of research methodology, data analysis, and estimation metrics.

o Must be proficient in Bluebeam software for the creation and modification of PDF documents.

o Must be proficient in OnScreen Takeoffs and Timberline Estimating software.
