Lead Software Engineer - Options
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join their successful Options team in New York. In this senior role, you will take charge of significant projects while collaborating closely with trading and technology teams.
Your strong communication skills, innovative problem-solving abilities, and passion for delivering impactful solutions will be critical in driving the team's success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect, design, and enhance high-performance options trading systems utilizing C++ and / or Python, ensuring robust functionality and scalability.
- Lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality projects of various complexities, aligning technology solutions with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with Quantitative Traders to identify and implement improvements in options trading technology and methodologies.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, providing rapid and effective solutions while maintaining a focus on quality and performance under pressure.
Requirements & Qualifications :
- Extensive experience as a software engineer, with a proven track record in C++ and Python development.
- Demonstrated success in developing trading systems for options, equities, or related asset classes, with experience in high-frequency or mid-frequency trading environments.
- Proficiency in building, optimising, and maintaining high-performance trading systems, ensuring exceptional quality and reliability.
- Ability to manage large-scale projects independently
- A strong enthusiasm for emerging technologies and their applications within the options trading domain.
- A solid academic background in a STEM discipline from a top ranked university worldwide.
