Job Shift : Shift 3
Shift Details : 12-hour shifts on various units including Oncology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, or Med / Surg; primarily nights;
every other weekend and rotating holidays
Become a part of our Nurse Residency program at Backus Hospital, designed to support newly licensed nurses as they transition into clinical practice through mentorship and resources.
This 12-month program, in partnership with Vizient / AACN, offers specialized training in areas such as Critical Care, Progressive Care, Med Surg, Telemetry, and more.
Newly licensed RNs with less than one-year experience are eligible to apply.

Qualifications
Education :
- Graduate of a nursing program
- Soon-to-be graduates welcome to apply
Experience :
New RN Graduate Nurses or newly licensed RNs
License and Certification :
- Active State of CT RN license or pending
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain department-specific certifications
Upon completion of the program, nurses will be well-equipped to manage a full patient assignment with confidence and are primed for future leadership positions in the nursing profession.
