We are seeking a skilled Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) Operator to join our team. As an Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machines to fabricate precision parts.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities :
- Setup and operate Sinker and Wire EDM
- Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of settings and to detect malfunctions
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Perform routine maintenance for daily operation
- Independently runs machines meeting product requirements
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints and CAD / CAM files as needed
- Inspect and test to ensure parts are free of defects
- Operate multiple EDMs simultaneously
- Performs setup and 1st part w / adjustments on NC Machine
- Multi axis machine competency
- G&M code literacy
- Adheres to job product requirements
- Uses checking gauges effectively
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a machinist apprenticeship program or relevant certification is preferred
- EDM experience Required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must have own tools
Hours : M-F 6 : 00am 2 : 30pm Overtime may be required.
