The rate of pay for this position is $20.70 an hour. The hours are Monday through Friday 9am until 5 : 30pm.

Your New Role...

The Housing Case Manager provides engagement and case management services with an interdisciplinary, multi-agency team to high-risk youth who are living in the New Avenues Housing program.

Responsibilities include intake and assessment; individual and group counseling; crisis intervention; case planning and contracting;

resource brokerage and referral; case coordination and advocacy; follow-up and after care; provision of clinical and financial record keeping related to job duties.

Provide backup floor coverage three shifts a week in onsite transitional housing program. This is a community-based position meaning that all work hours are either performed out in community meeting up with youth or on-site at one of New Avenues locations.

Knowledge & Skills :

• Understanding of the issues of substance abuse, mental health, trauma, abuse and adolescent development including brain development.
• Must possess excellent communication, organization, creativity, flexibility, optimism, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Use of personal automobile for transporting self and clients for work purposes
• Must have access to an automobile, a valid driver's license, and active auto insurance on that vehicle
• Must be willing to be CPR trained and certified

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology or social work. Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with high-risk youth.
• Experience, ability and commitment to working with sexual minority and culturally diverse staff, participants and community.
