Epson, a $10B global leader in high-quality consumer electronics and imaging is seeking an exceptional Business Development Manager to join our commercial sales team in the northeast region.

This person will develop business opportunities with Fortune 1000 / Fortune 5000 corporations through end user demand creation and increasing Epson brand awareness.

The Business Development Manager will drive Epson Branded Sales business by increasing market penetration and will be responsible for end-user and business partner relationship management.

You will also develop and coordinate sales activity of Epson branded and non branded products to end user customers in identified vertical markets, call directly on end - user customers in defined territories and build relationship management and coordinating sales via channel partners.

Principal Accountabilities

In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to :

Builds Sales

  • Meets and exceeds sales, creates demand in assigned markets, named accounts, channels, and / or product lines
  • Collaborates with Sales Manager in development of sales plan
  • Establishes a strong Epson presence within account base at decision maker and management level
  • Develops contacts in target accounts through prospecting in designated territory
  • Interacts with all appropriate internal and external customers to insure successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies with the customer
  • Identifies and understands the customer’s needs and provides solutions using Epson products, programs, and services
  • Demonstrates products to new and existing customers
  • Keeps abreast of product lines and industry trends and informs Epson management on developments and trends that may impact customers’ purchases and other business activities in the near and distant future
  • Participates in trade shows, sales meetings, training classes, and other lead generation activities

Effective Sales Administration

  • Adheres to all administrative policies and procedures
  • Maintains account database of contacts and activities
  • Submits all commission documentation monthly
  • Provides monthly pipeline sales forecasts to sales management
  • Operates within budgetary constraints
  • Submits weekly and monthly activity / call reports

What You Will Bring :

  • Minimum 5 years of new business development sales experience within the technology industry (Audio Visual Products, Printers, and Scanners) and selling directly to the end-user (Fortune 1000 Corporate Accounts)
  • Ability to determine decision makers, build strong relationships with decision makers and navigate corporate purchasing channels
  • Ability to travel within local region and occasionally to Los Alamitos, CA Headquarters or Trade Shows (40% to 45% travel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent (B.A. or B.S.) preferred
  • Must be located in the Northeast region : NYC, Philly, Boston, DC

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $60,510 and $152,260. Please note that this position’s salary range may include multiple levels.

The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as : training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.

The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This position will have a 65 / 35 commission plan.
