Description
Our client, an established out-of-network medical billing company located in New Hyde Park Long Island, is seeking experienced medical billers with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Position is temp to hire in nature.
Responsibilities :
- Review submitted claims for accuracy
- Conduct timely follow-up and research on all unpaid claims with insurance companies
- Work on insurance appeals and corrected claims correspondence
- Utilize all available portals for claim information
- Create and submit appeals and corrected claims packets, and other disputes, as necessary
- Assist with obtaining pre-authorizations when needed
Qualifications and skills required :
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 5 years medical billing experience
- At least 1 year of Out-of-network billing experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be computer proficient
