Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA provides systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives and programs for our organization.

You will be tasked with developing programs to support the organization's strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long term goals.

You will also be in charge of developing budgets and operating plans for programs and writing program funding proposals.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in both project management and team management.

This position is located in Renton, WA.

The Team

As a Senior Project Manager within PACCAR ITD’s PMO, you will work closely with the PMO Director and CIO Staff, as well as IT and business stakeholders from different divisions on a huge variety of projects to support truck, parts, financial and other strategic initiatives that contribute to the success of our customers.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions.
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Analyzing program risks.

Qualifications

  • Proven 5+ years of experience in project management.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience managing a team.
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps.

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree or master's degree in a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.
