Job Description :

Perform month-End Close responsibilities including monitoring estimate to actual revenue differences, posting certain closing journal entries, monitoring and resolving significant intercompany out of balances and reviewing the trial balance to address anomalies, prepare internal / external reporting; Maintains GL governance.

The Global Consolidations Accounting team is part of the Corporate Controller Group. The primary focus of the team is managing equity consolidations and intercompany eliminations accounting.

Business partners include Legal Entity controllers, LOB finance, and other operational groups.

This role is responsible for managing equity consolidations as well as various types of equity accounting, analysis, and reporting of legal entities.

Additionally, this role is responsible for performing intercompany elimination analysis to ensure top of house balances are correct.

Generally, the work routine occurs throughout the month with a heavy emphasis on month end close. As part of the responsibilities of the role, the teammate will develop business partner relationships with Legal Entity controllers, LOB finance contacts, and other operations groups within the bank.

Throughout the tenure of the role, the teammate should gain exposure and acumen in various finance and operations groups of the organization, and develop or improve the following skills : accounting, analytical abilities, reporting, and business partnering.

Responsibilities :

  • Account for the acquisition, disposition, merger, or liquidation of subsidiaries and or assist in assessing the impact to the corporate consolidation structure
  • Manage balance sheet and income statement intercompany residuals
  • Monitor and analyze various consolidated account balances for accuracy ensuring results are as expected and preparing correction entries as needed
  • Follow up and work with business partners throughout the month
  • Provide support for monthly escalation reporting to senior management
  • Assist in leading monthly routine meetings
  • Support audit requests and SOX deliverables
  • Prepare quarterly SEC and regulatory reporting
  • Provide guidance to business partners
  • Testing and support of special projects

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3-5 years accounting / finance experience
  • Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong written and oral communication, presentation, analytical and technical skills
  • Highly organized and attention to detail
  • Strong business partner skills with ability to meet multiple deadlines
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Strong initiative and drive for results

Desired Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Oracle or SAP eLedger experience
  • Understanding of the legal entity consolidation structure
  • Consolidations accounting experience
