We are currently recruiting for a Senior Tax Manager in Phoenix, AZ. Hybrid / remote setup for local candidates. The ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of public accounting experience, hold CPA or EA credentials, and have supervisory experience.
Master's degree in Taxation a plus. The Senior Tax Manager will partner with high-net-worth individuals and families, delivering tax compliance, consulting, and wealth management services.
140K - 175K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package
Responsibilities :
- Conduct client meetings, managing tax service coordination, researching tax matters, keeping abreast of tax laws, reviewing tax returns and projections, and engage in virtual meetings.
- Coach and manage team members, resolving software issues, and enhancing tax procedures.
- The company's culture prioritizes enduring relationships, collaborative teamwork, and individual development.
- Maintain consistent client communication and manage relationships.
- Partner with external experts to deliver all-encompassing client services.
- Direct and supervise the provision of tax services, both internally and externally.
- Perform comprehensive tax research and analysis for compliance and planning purposes.
- Stay up to date on changes in tax legislation and communicate updates within the company.
- Address complex client issues with seasoned judgment and expertise.
- Ensure client records and documentation are meticulous and current.
- Oversee team operations, guaranteeing report accuracy and quality control.
- Examine and endorse tax-related outputs, including returns and forecasts.
- Engage in virtual meetings and promote internal networking to boost efficiency.
Requirements :
- CPA or EA certification is mandatory. Masters in Taxation a +
- 10 years + recent public accounting experience in preparing and reviewing diverse tax returns, accompanied by tax planning.
- Proven supervisory or management experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Skilled in various software tools, and exhibit superior communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and tax software like CCH Axcess (ProSystem Fx), Autoflow, and BNA Tax Planner.
- Demonstrated ability to strategize, innovate, and think creatively.
