The Senior Business Analyst for Environmental Health and Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to identify, analyze and document business requirements, with a strong focus on user experience (UX) research and analysis for EHSS initiatives.
This role will work closely with stakeholders to turn information into value, define the desired end state, and quantify the anticipated impact and benefits of projects in these domains.
Key Responsibilities :
- Research and model current state EHSS business systems and processes
- Identify and recommend improvements in the EHSS business systems and processes
- Conduct user experience research, including interviews, workshops, and usability testing, to deeply understand the needs, pain points and desired experiences of internal and external users of environmental health and safety and sustainability-related systems and solutions.
- Analyze user research findings to inform the development of user personas, journey maps, and other UX artifacts that drive user-centric design.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate user insights into detailed business and functional requirements that enable the development of intuitive, efficient and effective solutions.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of environmental health and safety, and sustainability best practices, regulations, and emerging trends, and apply this expertise to solution design and implementation.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to gather and elicit business requirements, validate design concepts, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
- Document detailed business and functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and other artifacts to guide solution development efforts.
- Collaborate with product managers, solution and data architects, and developers to ensure deliverables are built according to documented requirements and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Develop training materials and provide support for end-users to drive successful adoption and utilization of environmental, health, safety and sustainability-related systems and solutions.
- Continuously monitor user feedback and usage data to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements that improve user experiences and drive desired business outcomes.
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the environmental health and safety and sustainability domains, and proactively share insights with the organization.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, technology, or data analytics
- 7+ years of experience as a business analyst, with a strong focus on user experience research and analysis
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental health and safety and sustainability practices, regulations, and technologies
- Proficient in user research methodologies, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic observation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in agile software development methodologies and practices
- Master's degree or certification in user experience design, sustainability, or a related field a plus
- Experience in the design and implementation of enterprise-level environmental health and safety and sustainability management systems preferred
Estimated total compensation range for this position is :
112,600.00 163,300.00 USD per year
The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed.
