This Senior Director of Engineering role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving technical excellence and innovation across the organization.

The position exists to provide strategic direction, technical oversight, and leadership to the engineering department, focusing on PIMS (Practice Information Management System) initiatives.

This leader will be instrumental in aligning engineering efforts with business objectives, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.

They will oversee complex projects, manage a diverse team of engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive technological advancements.

The job is to successfully implement critical systems, particularly PIMS integrations, while continuously improving engineering processes and capabilities.

  • Drive technical innovation by evaluating new technologies, methodologies, best practices and implementing them across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure engineering efforts support and enhance business operations and goals
  • Manage resources, including budget allocation, hiring decisions, and vendor relationships, to optimize team performance and project outcomes
  • Ensure the successful delivery of complex engineering projects, particularly PIMS integrations, on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability

About You :

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years in leadership roles within global engineering departments
  • Deep understanding of software development principles, best practices, and modern software architectures, including cloud technologies
  • Strong project management and strategic planning abilities, with a track record of successful large-scale project implementations, particularly in PIMS or similar systems
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage global or non-US-based teams (Sri Lanka and Brazil)
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capacity to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations, balancing tactical execution with strategic thinking
  • Adaptability, openness to change, and ability to effectively work with vendors and partners
  • Advanced proficiency in Python programming is nice to have

Annual base salary :

Pay Range : $186,000 $202,000 USD
