We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Division / Branch Manager specializing in Drywall, Metal Framing, and Acoustical Ceilings to lead our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes.
This role requires proficiency in project management software, exceptional communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering positive client relationships and driving division growth.
Responsibilities :
- Division Leadership : Oversee and manage the overall operations of the division / branch, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Project Management Software Proficiency : Utilize Project Management software such as OST, QB, and Plexxis ERP to manage division operations and track project financials, providing comprehensive reports to senior management.
- Financial Oversight : Monitor division financials, including budgets, projections, and profitability, ensuring financial health and providing detailed reports to senior management.
- Contract Review : Thoroughly review General Contractor (GC) contract documents, ensuring full comprehension of division obligations and requirements.
- Construction Expertise : Demonstrate proficiency in managing construction projects according to specified requirements and overall project objectives, prioritizing cost-saving measures concerning labor, material, and equipment.
- Submittals Management : Oversee the collection and distribution of submittals, ensuring timely and accurate documentation across all projects.
- RFI Management : Supervise the drafting and monitoring of Request for Information (RFI) documents, ensuring clarity and protection of the division’s interests.
- Material Coordination : Coordinate with the purchasing agent to accurately order required materials, ensuring division project needs are met.
- Billing and Invoicing : Oversee monthly billing tasks and ensure timely submission of invoices, maintaining accurate financial documentation.
- Client Negotiations : Lead negotiations on price revisions, Additional Service Items (ASIs), and contract amendments with clients, updating relevant software accordingly.
- Financial Resolution : Promptly resolve financial matters with clients, maintaining positive relationships and fostering repeat business opportunities.
- Site Visits : Conduct regular site visits to ongoing projects and attend GC-led project meetings as required, addressing project needs and ensuring progress.
- Scope Communication : Anticipate and effectively communicate scope ambiguities to ensure project clarity and prevent misunderstandings.
- Collaboration with Senior Estimator : Collaborate closely with the Senior Estimator on pricing exercises and project issues, providing strategic input and direction.
- Operations Coordination : Work closely with Operations to review project schedules, ensuring alignment with division goals and timelines.
- Team Meetings : Lead weekly and monthly division meetings, as well as Foremen’s meetings, fostering a collaborative and communicative team environment.
- Client Expectations Management : Manage client expectations regarding pricing and project timelines, providing consistent communication and support.
- Foremen Support : Provide daily communication and support to respective Foremen, ensuring project requirements are understood and addressed.
- Trade Collaboration : Collaborate with other trades as necessary to ensure project success, addressing project requirements and concerns.
- Site Visits : Conduct site visits as needed to address project requirements and concerns, ensuring project progress and compliance with specifications.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a managerial role within the construction industry, specifically in Drywall, Metal Framing, and Acoustical Ceilings.
- Proficiency in Project Management software such as OST, QB, and Plexxis ERP.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and financial oversight.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, team members, and other trades.
