Job Summary
Under the immediate supervision of a Sr. Custodian Supervisor, a Lead Custodian, or the manager, the incumbent performs the following duties :
All patient support team members act to meet the standard cleaning of operation rooms for between cases and terminal cleaning.
Team members promote a cooperative working relationship with each other, and other staff by facilitating and enhancing communication and expressing and accepting feedback in a professional manner.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note : The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point.
An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- It is essential to complete the training for Medications and Auxiliary Staff Competency.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to satisfactorily perform job duties as defined in the job description.
- Willingness to be taught / learn new skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English.
- Ability to organize and effectively set priorities.
- Ability to carry out duties of first responder in emergency situations.
- Successful completion of Medical Center Patient Support Assistant training.
