Job description
HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Logistics Driver to be responsible for properly recovering company vehicles on public roads when the need arises.
We're looking for someone who holds a valid Class C driver's license. The ideal candidate has prior experience operating a flatbed tow truck and a clean driving record.
You will be responsible for assisting the transition toward being a more production-ready company.
As a Logistics Driver, you'll :
- Operate and safely conduct recovery tasks on public roads.
- Pull a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.
- Operate flatbed towing equipment to include winching procedures.
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs, including hours of service.
- Ensure goods are transported in a safe and efficient manner, complying with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of materials and company assets.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and ground support.
- Maintain and service the vehicle as needed (e.g. refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide an excellent internal and external customer experience.
Requirements
- Valid Class C driver's license
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Physical ability to exit and enter a vehicle multiple times a day and lift up to 35 pounds
- Must be able to meet DOT physical and medical requirements as necessary
- Ability to operate large and heavy vehicles with a high degree of attention, skill, and dexterity
- A hands-on approach to get the job done
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and adjust to provide a great customer experience
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Must be flexible on work hours
- 2+ years of proven experience with flatbed driving is preferred
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred

Commitment : This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.
